Terms of Service
1. Session Duration
1.1 Personal training sessions will generally last 1 hour unless alternative arrangements are agreed upon in advance
2. Client Commitment
2.1 Clients commit to attending the agreed-upon number of sessions per week/month as outlined in their selected package
2.2 Clients are responsible for informing the trainer of any changes in health status, medications, or other factors affecting their ability to engage in physical activity
3. Trainer Commitment
3.1 In the event of trainer unavailability, efforts will be made to reschedule sessions to accommodate the client's needs
4. Rescheduling, Makeup Sessions, and Late Cancellation Policy
4.1 Clients may request to reschedule a session with a minimum notice period of 12 hours
4.2 The late cancellation window is defined as 12 hours before the scheduled training session
4.3 In the event of a late cancellation within this window, the session will be considered forfeited, with no rescheduling or reimbursement provided
4.4 Each client is entitled to one cancellation per payment period, allowing them to reschedule a session without incurring any penalties. This privilege is intended to accommodate unforeseen circumstances and support a positive client-trainer relationship
4.5 Exceptions to the late cancellation policy may be considered in cases of documented illness or injury, with timely and appropriate documentation provided by the client
5. Tardiness
5.1 Sessions will commence at the scheduled start time. Both the trainer and client are responsible for adhering to the agreed-upon start time
5.2 The session time will begin at the scheduled start time, regardless of the client's actual arrival time. Clients are encouraged to be punctual to maximize the training period
6. Force Majeure
6.1 onemetabolic shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather events, pandemics, government restrictions, labour strikes, or any other event considered an "act of God"
6.2 In the event of a force majeure occurrence, onemetabolic will make every effort to reschedule affected sessions or offer alternative arrangements, such as providing credits for future sessions
6.3 Refunds due to force majeure events will be considered at the discretion of onemetabolic, based on the specific circumstances and duration of the interruption
6.4 Clients will be promptly notified of any force majeure situation affecting scheduled services, and onemetabolic will work to resume regular operations as soon as reasonably possible
7. Payment and Scheduling Policy
7.1 Payment for personal training services will be requested on the last Friday of every month
7.2 Each payment period covers sessions from the week following the last Friday of the current month to the week of the last Friday of the next month
7.3 Upon successful payment, personal training sessions will be scheduled for the upcoming payment period
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Clients acknowledge that engaging in personal training sessions involves inherent risks, which they voluntarily assume
8.2 onemetabolic and its trainers shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the client's participation in training sessions, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct
8.3 Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit for the training sessions. onemetabolic is not liable for any health-related issues arising from undisclosed medical conditions
9. Confidentiality
9.1 All client information, including health history and personal details, will be kept confidential by the trainer
9.2 The trainer may use client progress photos and testimonials for marketing purposes with the client's explicit consent
10. Code of Conduct
10.1 Both the client and the trainer agree to always conduct themselves professionally and respectfully
10.2 Harassment or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of services
11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
11.1 onemetabolic reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of changes via email, and updated terms will be made available on our website
11.2 Continued use of personal training services after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms and conditions
12. Deposit Policy
12.1 A non-refundable deposit of £20 is required to secure a booking for the initial Fitness Assessment
12.2 The deposit payment is non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation or no-show. This policy covers administrative costs and secures the trainer’s time
12.3 Rescheduling of the Fitness Assessment is permitted without additional fees, provided a minimum notice period of 12 hours is given. In such cases, the deposit will be applied to the new appointment date
12.4 If a rescheduling request is made with less than 12 hours’ notice, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit may be required to secure a future appointment
12.5 For clients who proceed with additional training sessions or packages, the deposit may be applied as a credit toward future services
13. Refund Policy
13.1 All payments for personal training sessions, packages, and services are non-refundable once the payment period has commenced
13.2 Refunds will only be considered for documented medical reasons that prevent the client from continuing training. For personal or non-medical reasons, refunds may be granted at the sole discretion of onemetabolic
13.3 Requests for refunds under acceptable circumstances must be accompanied by appropriate documentation, and refunds will be granted at the discretion of onemetabolic
13.4 If a client is eligible for a refund due to an acceptable reason, any refunded amount will be calculated based on the remaining unused sessions in the current payment period, minus any applicable administrative fees
13.5 Clients terminating services mid-period without a qualifying reason are not eligible for a refund on unused sessions
13.6 onemetabolic reserves the right to offer session credits as an alternative to refunds, which may be applied toward future services or transferred to a later payment period
14. Termination Clause
14.1 Client-Initiated Termination: Clients may terminate their training services by providing written notice at least 14 days in advance of their next scheduled payment period. No refunds will be issued for unused sessions within the current payment period unless under acceptable medical circumstances as outlined in the Refund Policy
14.2 Trainer-Initiated Termination: onemetabolic reserves the right to terminate training services for a client at any time under the following conditions:
Violation of the Code of Conduct (see Section 10)
Failure to comply with the trainer’s guidance on safety and health
Repeated cancellations or missed sessions that disrupt the training schedule
In such cases, any unused sessions within the current payment period may be forfeited without refund, at the sole discretion of onemetabolic
14.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination by either party, all future scheduled sessions will be cancelled. Clients whose services are terminated for non-compliance will not be eligible for refunds on any remaining sessions
